The fiance said she would make fun of me for getting one but I really like them... The size is great, they’re sporty, affordable, look great(imo), the interior is great looking, and available in AWD. What say ye Oppo?

Personally, it wouldn’t be my choice, but I think the exterior is okay , the value is good, and it’s tough to argue with Lexus’ interiors these days.

My mom loves the RX - I keep telling her NX would probably be better for her. She loves the original RX and it is about the same size as the new NX.

I know all the history behind the spindle grill so I have a special attachment to it. I love everything about the spindle grill.

The point is, you’re definitely not insane. You’re insane if you take it offroad, though. Being insane is good.

I think it’s the definition of Fuck ugly. And sporty? It’s a fucking SUV, get your head checked!
But that is just me, if you really think that this abomination will make you happy, get it. Who cares what some interweb bozos think who may or may not live in their mum’s basement for all you know.

I think it’s a great CUV! Though when it comes to Lexus, you’re best going all in and keeping it than doing anything base or mid.

Have you driven one?
No, it’s not a sports car. But for what it is, it drives quite nicely.
And styling is always subjective. Though, the current Lexus lineup does not photograph well; not that they are ugly, only that to get the full depth of all the curves and styling cues one must see the car in person.
I happen the like the current Lexus lineup, but always find the RC F highly suspect in photos. In person, it’s a gorgeous car.

I do not think you are crazy. The NX is a great little crossover.
The F-Sport seats are a little snug though.

Driving a Lexus in Germany? Where would I find one? They must have dealerships somewhere, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to sell a car more than Ferrari or Morgan (not combined) every month, yet I still have to see one.

I’m not a fan of the looks. The interior is really nice though. And when you’re sitting down, you don’t have to look at it.

I was making a point that you dismissed the NX without having driven it first, which is generally agreed upon around here as bad.
I have zero control over where Lexus sets up shop in Germany, so don’t get mad at me for your lack of a Lexus dealer near you.

Not getting mad at anyone here. My apologies if it came across as that!
As I said earlier, if he likes it he should get it, no matter what some armchair car people think. I personally just happen to think that it is ugly, and I also dislike SUVs/CUVs. I haven’t driven this one, so I just extrapolated from others like the SQ5 or the Countryblob CooperS.

That was the way I read that, which seemed out of sorts for your pseudonym around these parts; you are generally quite polite so I wasn’t really sure why I was getting yelled at.
Anyway, I wasn’t arguing about the styling. As I said that is subjective, so you may think as you wish.
I would also rather have a good hatchback or a wagon (I bought a GTI, so I put my money where my proverbial is), but if one must get a CUV, the NX is really quite okay.
And it drives much better than its competition. For what it is, again it is not hateful.

It’s my favorite Toyota product for at least the last ten years, aside from maybe the original isf. I say maybe because the traction control pisses me off.

I think that maybe we are discussing semantics here. There is sporty and “sporty”, or so. If you find better definitions we should apply these.
Your GTI (very nice car btw, congrats) is pretty much what Webster’s should use to define a sporty car.
Hottish CUVs are a bit like a bland meal that you spice up with some hot sauce. It does the trick. It’ll nourish you while being somewhat tasty. So I would call them “sporty”. They can hang in there with the real sporty cars and even some sports cars all day long. Which is impressive, as far as cheating physics goes, but the high seating position just kills a lot of the fun for me.
Watching Sabine thrash that Transit around the Ring was impressive. Driving an SQ5 on public roads made me feel a bit like her, which isn’t bad at all. Quite the opposite! It just didn’t feel......
And I am fighting a losing battle within my own family here:
